Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

For my part, I put a third of the whole wheat flour at the bottom of the jar, then half the dose of oats and half the dose of pumpkin seeds coarsely chopped. I proceeded with more flour and immediately after with the yeast,

turmeric and another layer of oats and pumpkin seeds. Finally, I covered everything with the remaining flour. Once the layers are done, I closed the jar with its lid. At this point, if we decide to make it a gift, we prepare a note with the procedure and a tag to tie to the lid with the list of dry ingredients and the liquid ones to add at the time of preparation.

RECIPE STEPS:

Now let’s see how to prepare these delicious pumpkin seed rolls. In a large bowl, put the egg, oil, beat well and pour in the entire contents of the jar.

Add the milk and mix all the ingredients well (if the mixture should be hard, add a little more milk but gradually), then pour the mixture on the work surface and knead vigorously.

After shaping the dough, we put it inside a cloth, close it, and let it rise for about an hour. When we uncover it, we will notice that it has doubled in size.

After the necessary time, knead again but only for a few seconds and divide the dough into 6 portions. Shape each piece and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cover and let rise for another half hour. Then bake in a preheated oven, static mode at 350°F, and let cook for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on a cooling rack, as this will help them lose all the moisture and remain crispy on the surface and soft inside.
