Roasted Garlic Spread, is a simple and delicious recipe that is easy to prepare. I realize that although it is tasty, it is not for everyone due to its pungent flavor. Even if eaten raw or sautéed, it can cause a kind of bad breath, but I assure you that this way, it will not only be highly digestible but also mild and without bad odors. Great in any season, because when spread on bruschetta, it will make any kind of barbecue special. Also ideal as a base for a sauce to accompany meat or fish dishes. Even if you have doubts, I recommend trying it at least once, because every time I’ve served it, even the most hesitant have loved it. Furthermore, its beneficial properties are so numerous that we should include it in our daily diet frequently.

Ingredients
- 3 heads of garlic
- 1 tablespoon and a generous half of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bunch sage
- 1 sprig rosemary
- to taste salt and pepper
Tools
- 1 Baking dish
- 1 Aluminum foil
Preparation
Peel the heads of garlic, removing the tougher skin, but be careful not to fully expose the cloves to avoid them drying out too much during cooking.
With a sharp knife, cut off the top no more than half an inch, and place the sage and rosemary at the base of a small baking dish.
At this point, place the heads of garlic in the baking dish, season them first with extra virgin olive oil, and adjust with salt and preferably freshly ground pepper. Follow your taste in any case.
If the baking dish doesn’t have a lid, cover it with a sheet of aluminum foil and bake it in a preheated oven at 392°F, with fan mode.
Let it bake for 20 minutes, then remove the aluminum cover and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
Serve our Roasted Garlic Spread immediately, along with toasted bread, bruschetta, crackers, or rice cakes.
Delicious and ideal for enriching meat or fish dishes, or even pasta.
Tips and Storage
The Roasted Garlic Spread could be stored in the refrigerator, but I find it changes in flavor.
Since you can prepare it in very little time, I suggest making it when you need it.
