- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Cooking time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 4 servings
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 cup cup homemade sour cream
- to taste salt and pepper
- to taste fennel fronds
Preparation
First of all, prepare the homemade sour cream by following this quick recipe: https://blog.giallozafferano.it/lappetitovienmangiando/panna-acida-fatta-in-casa/
Once ready, let it rest in the refrigerator, taking it out only when it’s time to serve your fish.
Heat a non-stick pan, and when it’s hot, place the salmon fillets you’ve had prepared by your trusted fishmonger inside.
Cook them for just a few minutes on each side, keeping the flame at medium-high.
Don’t leave them on the heat for too long, otherwise, the salmon steak will dry out, despite being a fatty fish.
After grilling it well, turn off the heat and sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
Serve your Roasted Salmon and Sour Cream immediately, accompanied by the homemade sour cream.
If desired, you can add more freshly ground pepper to the sour cream and fennel fronds.
Notes
Tip: you can prepare the sour cream a few days in advance because if stored in the refrigerator at the right temperature, it will last a long time.
