Smoked Paprika Chicken Wings

Smoked Paprika Chicken Wings are so delicious that you’ll end up licking your fingers. It’s a simple recipe to prepare that not only kids will love. Nothing spicy, because paprika is nothing but dried and ground red pepper. In this case, smoking is added, which makes the paprika even more flavorful. Cooking in the oven makes them very light, but if you prefer, you can easily fry them in peanut oil. I usually serve them with cooked or raw vegetables and some spicy sauce to dip them in. However, even ketchup is fine if you don’t like spicy.

Smoked Paprika Chicken Wings
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 4 people
  • Cooking methods: Electric oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken wings
  • to taste breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • large eggs
  • 1 medium onion
  • a few sprigs of parsley
  • to taste salt
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Tools

  • 1 Tray
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Hand whisk
  • 1 Knife
  • 2 Plates
  • 1 Parchment paper

How to Prepare Smoked Paprika Chicken Wings

First, organize your workspace with all the necessary ingredients already measured, so everything is within reach.

Beat the eggs with a hand whisk, chop the onion and parsley with a sharp knife, and prepare two flat plates with flour and breadcrumbs.

Add the chopped mixture to the breadcrumbs along with the smoked paprika and mix so that the mixture is well flavored.

Coat the wings in the flour, turning them over more than once to ensure it sticks well to the meat, and dip them in the beaten egg.

Now bread them in the flavored breadcrumbs, turning them over several times in this case too. Line the tray with parchment paper and drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil on top.

Arrange the breaded wings one after the other, but without overlapping them too much. Add more extra virgin olive oil and season with salt. Finally, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F and let cook for about 50/60 minutes, or until they have a nice browned color.

Serve your Smoked Paprika Chicken Wings freshly baked, but they are also delicious at room temperature.

Tips and Storage

Breaded wings can be stored for about 3 days, both raw and cooked, in the refrigerator inside an airtight container.

You can also freeze them always in the two states I mentioned above, but remember to always thaw them in the refrigerator to avoid food poisoning.

Usually, when I feel like it, I prepare a lot and freeze them raw, so I have them ready for times when I have less time.

If you don’t like smoked paprika, feel free to use sweet paprika, but of course, the flavor will be less intense.
