- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Cooking time: 12 Hours
- Portions: 4 people
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 block of organic yeast
- 1.7 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
Preparation
Take a large bowl and add the flour, salt, sugar, and oil.
Dissolve the block of yeast in hot water, then pour it over the flour.
Start kneading to make the dough smooth and homogeneous, and if it seems too hard, add more warm water.
Add all the seeds: pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, and only half of the poppy seeds.
Continue mixing, then cover everything with a damp cloth.
Let it rise for at least 12 hours.
After this time, take the dough and knead it one more time.
In the meantime, preheat the oven to the maximum temperature in static mode.
Shape the dough as you prefer and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Make slits on the top of the dough and sprinkle with the remaining poppy seeds.
Lower to 350°F, and bake for about 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven, and let it cool on a wooden board.
