The pasta with peas is a very simple dish to prepare, perfect for both adults and children. You need very few ingredients to prepare it.
This dish is very tasty, it is prepared in a short time and can also be customized according to our tastes.
The recipe I want to propose can be prepared at any time of the year. In spring we can use fresh peas, during the rest of the year frozen ones will be fine.
For this recipe I used frozen ones that I cooked together with a sauté of onion. I also used a bit of smoked bacon.
Here I leave you other super delicious recipes with these legumes

- 2 white onions
- to taste extra virgin olive oil

Tools

- 1 Pan 10 inches
- 1 Casserole 11 inches
- 1 Immersion Blender
Preparation
To prepare the pasta with peas and bacon, we start by finely chopping the onion. We let it brown in a pan over low heat with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil until it wilts. Then we add the peas and let them brown for a while. After that, we let everything simmer with the wine and cook it on low heat for about 15 minutes. If needed, we add some water to finish cooking.
In the meantime, we put a pot with water for the pasta on the stove. We add salt, bring it to a boil, and cook the pasta, then drain it 2 minutes before it’s done cooking.
Once the peas are cooked, we remove 3/4 of the amount and set them aside. To the remaining ones, we add the tomatoes cut into cubes and let them cook for about ten minutes.
While the tomatoes are cooking, we brown the bacon in a small pan until they become golden.
We transfer the peas into a tall glass and blend them with the immersion blender until they become a cream that we will add into the pan along with the tomatoes and the pasta. We add salt, pepper, and sauté everything for a couple of minutes. Finally, we add the bacon and mix one last time
We turn off the heat and finish by stirring everything with a nice handful of grated parmesan or even better with pecorino romano.
We serve our pasta with peas hot!
