Homemade hot chocolate is super quick to prepare! A sweet treat for cold or rainy days, it will warm our souls and hearts. With just a few ingredients and in a short time, we can make thick hot chocolate, just like the ones served in cafés.

Ingredients for hot chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsps potato starch

- 1 Kitchen robot Thermomix TM31 – TM5 – TM6
- 1 Small pot
- 1 Whisk
- 4 Cups
Preparation of hot chocolate
1 – In a small pot, put the sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, and potato starch.
2 – Using a whisk, mix very well, being careful not to leave lumps.
3 – Then add the milk, and keep stirring with the whisk until everything is homogeneous.
4 – Now, put everything on the stove over medium-low heat and bring to a boil, always stirring with the whisk. You will notice the mixture starting to thicken.
Once ready, pour our hot chocolate into cups, and if desired, add some whipped cream.
WITH THERMOMIX: We can prepare the chocolate using the Thermomix. Put everything into the bowl, then run for 8 minutes at 176°F speed 4.
Notes
We can also use brown sugar.
If we don’t have potato starch, we can substitute it with corn starch (maizena).
If you like, add some cinnamon powder.
