Have you ever tried Hugo spritz, the cocktail from South Tyrol? It’s delicious! It’s especially perfect for summer; I find it very fresh and tasty. It’s the best when enjoyed with a platter of speck! I discovered it during my vacation in South Tyrol, in Brunico, and I fell in love with it at first sip.

Preparation of Hugo spritz
I use a pitcher because I find it more convenient and faster.
I pour in the tonic water, prosecco, and elderflower syrup and stir with a spoon.
Finally, I add the lightly crushed mint leaves and a few lemon slices. I put it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
I add the ice to the glasses and then pour the Hugo. Decorate with lemon slices and mint leaves as desired.
NOTES
We can also use simple sparkling water or soda instead of tonic water.
If you don’t have mint, try with basil leaves!
Lime can also be used instead of lemon.
Opt for well-chilled prosecco, extra dry or brut.
Consume immediately.
