Ingredients of the Savory Pie with Potatoes
- 1 roll puff pastry (round)
- 3.5 oz grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 potatoes (medium-sized)
- 2 sprigs rosemary (chopped needles)
- 1 pinch salt
- as needed extra virgin olive oil
Tools
- 1 Baking pan diameter 10 inches
- 1 Mandoline slicer
Preparation of the Savory Pie with Potatoes
First, take the potatoes and wash them well with cold water. Remove the bruised and inedible parts, and you can decide whether to peel them or leave the skin on (I left it on)
1 – Now using a mandoline slicer or a vegetable cutter, slice them very thinly
2 – Take a baking pan and place the puff pastry inside, prick the bottom and start making a first layer with the potato slices.
3 – On top of the potatoes, add the grated Parmesan cheese and some chopped rosemary needles. Continue this way, alternating the potato slices with the cheese.
4 – When you reach the last layer, made only of potato slices, finish with a drizzle of olive oil and some rosemary. Fold the edges of the puff pastry and bake the puff pastry pie with potatoes.
BAKING: In a preheated oven at 392 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25-30 minutes.
Notes
The Parmesan can be replaced with another cheese.
If the slices are thicker, extend the cooking time but lower the temperature
