Ingredients for Air Fryer Puff Pastry Swirls
- 8 oz puff pastry (rectangular)
- 4.5 oz provolone (mild)
- 3.9 oz mortadella with pistachios (or 6 slices)

Preparation of Puff Pastry Swirls in Air Fryer
To prepare the puff pastry swirls filled with provolone and mortadella, unroll the puff pastry sheet, place the provolone and mortadella slices on top.
Roll the pastry tightly on itself to form a log.
Cut slices about 0.75 inches thick with a smooth-bladed knife.
Make about 15 swirls.
Place the puff pastry swirls inside the basket of the air fryer.
Start the cooking by setting the temperature to 356°F for 9 minutes.
After 4-5 minutes, check the cooking.
Gently turn them using a spatula or tongs, being careful not to burn yourself.
Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.

Variations, Tips, and Storage
You can use sweet or smoked scamorza for a sweeter or more intense flavor.
If you don’t like mortadella, you can replace it with cooked ham.
If the temperature in your house is high, place the roll in the refrigerator before cutting to make it easier to slice.
