  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, open an egg and keep only the egg white. Alternatively, the whole egg works fine too. In another bowl, pour the bread crumbs with a pinch of salt. Coat the cordon bleu first in the egg white and then in the bread crumbs, making sure it adheres well on all sides and edges.

Tips for you

✔ For this recipe, it is necessary to cook the bread cordon bleu directly in the basket of the air fryer without trays or parchment paper: in this way, they will cook thanks to the air passing 360 degrees from bottom to top, which allows for an ideal air frying. Trays or parchment paper would impede this as they would block the air circulating inside the air fryer.

✔ The spray oil I used is available in supermarkets. I recommend one of these because their spray is truly nebulizing and controlled, as well as being really excellent. You can find some by clicking here. Alternatively, you can buy a spray bottle that you can fill yourself with your preferred oil. I leave you the link to an excellent sprayer here.

✔ I recommend using a BBQ mesh to place directly in the non-stick basket of your air fryer: the mesh protects the non-stick coating of the basket (which will remain like new) and allows the food to cook evenly, allowing air to pass 360 degrees. You can find it on Amazon by clicking here.

✔ You can use perforated parchment paper (important: otherwise, air won’t pass underneath and above). You can also find it by clicking here.

✔ For this recipe, I used the air fryer COSORI 4.7, which you can find on Amazon here.
