The Brie wedges in air fryer are literally prepared in 10 minutes with very few ingredients, transforming a simple piece of cheese into a snack with surprising crunchiness and an incredibly stringy center.
The secret of this recipe is the breading, which allows you to achieve a perfect result in the air fryer: a light, dry, and golden “fried-not-fried” version in just a few moments. But versatility is the strong point of this dish: if you don’t have the fryer, you can bake them in the oven (raising the degrees and times slightly) or opt for the more indulgent version by frying them directly in hot oil in a pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of brie or camembert (130 g)
  • 2 eggs
  • to taste breadcrumbs
  • to taste salt
  • to taste spray oil

Steps

  • Take a wheel of brie or camembert and insert wooden skewers at the two top ends, then on the sides and finally on the two diagonals. Be careful not to go too deep or you won’t be able to cut the cheese. At this point, take the knife and cut until you get 8 precise wedges.

  • Now let’s move on to the breading: beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, take the wedges holding them by the skewers and pass them first in the egg and then well in the breadcrumbs.

    Place them in the basket of our air fryer and cook them at 392°F for about 8 minutes, until they become super golden, and turn them when 3 minutes are left.

  • If you prefer to use the oven, set it to fan mode at 428°F and cook for about 12-15 minutes. Alternatively, we can fry them in a pan with hot oil for a few minutes on each side.
    You can serve them as is or with your favorite sauce! Enjoy your meal.

The Brie Secret: For this recipe, it is essential that the Brie is well chilled from the refrigerator when you cut and bread it. If the cheese is too soft or at room temperature, it risks melting too quickly during cooking before the crust becomes crispy.

The Clean Cut: When you move on to cutting with the knife, try to be decisive. The skewers serve as guides, but a clean cut will help the cheese maintain the perfect triangular shape during cooking.
