Crispy Parmesan Potatoes in Air Fryer

The crispy parmesan potatoes are a burst of flavor: extremely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. These potatoes are easy to make and very quick to cook, in fact, we will make them in an air fryer and, as you will see, it only takes a few minutes. Alternatively, they can always be baked in the oven by extending the cooking time (you will find all the instructions below).

The crispy parmesan potatoes are perfect as a side dish, but also as an appetizer or as a main course. They have a taste that will win over everyone, thanks to the mustard and grated parmesan. They are very easy to make and require only a few simple steps.

  • Wash the potatoes well, we will use them with the skin (so only use potatoes with edible skin like baby potatoes). Put them in a pot with plenty of water and cook them for 10 minutes from boiling. Drain them, dry them well, and cut them in half.

Put the potatoes in a bowl and add the extra virgin olive oil, the grated parmesan, the hot paprika, a pinch of salt and pepper, and finally the mustard, which will give the potatoes an even tastier flavor. Mix and combine well.

  • Place the potatoes cut side down in the basket of the air fryer and cook them at 375°F for 15 minutes. It won’t be necessary to flip them halfway through cooking. Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven at 400°F for 30 minutes.

Serve the crispy parmesan potatoes still hot, but they’re also good cold. Enjoy your meal!

Tips for You

✔ It is necessary to cook the calzones directly in the basket of the air fryer without trays or parchment paper: this way they will cook thanks to the air that circulates 360 degrees from below to above, allowing for an ideal air frying. Trays or parchment paper in this case would be an impediment as they would block the circulating air inside the air fryer.

✔ I recommend using the BBQ mesh to place directly in the non-stick basket of your air fryer: the mesh protects the non-stick coating of the basket (which will remain like new) and allows the food to cook evenly, letting the air pass 360 degrees. You can find it on Amazon by clicking here.

✔ You can use perforated parchment paper (important: otherwise the air won’t circulate underneath and above). You can also find it by clicking here.

✔ For this recipe, I used the COSORI 4.7 air fryer, which you can find on Amazon here.
