Soft Tuna Patties | Air Fryer

My tuna patties are delicious, super soft, with a delightful crust. Everyone will love my tuna patties recipe: they are very simple to make and as you will see, the inside will be super soft and even children will love them. The outside will have a crispy coating as if they were fried, yet they will be very light thanks to the air fryer cooking method. All you need is a spray of oil to make these tuna patties unique.

As you will see, making this recipe is really simple. It requires few and simple ingredients that we almost always have at home, and they will cook in no time. You can choose to cook them like me in an air fryer or in the oven, in this case increasing the degrees and time. Let’s see together how to make these delicious soft tuna patties.

Tips for you

✔ I blended everything to make them even more suitable for children. This way they are even softer and there won’t be any pieces of tuna. I used a hand blender for blending: link.

✔ The tuna patties keep in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or you can also cook and freeze them.

✔ You can double the amounts to get more patties.

✔ The oil sprayer I used is available in supermarkets. I recommend one of these because their spray is misty and controlled, and it’s really excellent. You can find some by clicking here. Alternatively, you can buy the spray bottle that you can fill yourself with the oil of your choice. Here’s the link to a great sprayer here.

✔ It’s necessary to cook the tuna patties directly in the basket of the air fryer without trays or parchment paper: this way they will cook thanks to the air that passes 360 degrees from below to above, allowing for ideal air frying. Trays or parchment paper in this case would be an impediment as they would block the air inside the air fryer.

✔ I recommend using the BBQ mesh to place directly in the non-stick basket of your air fryer: the mesh protects the non-stick coating of the basket (which will remain as new) and allows the food to cook evenly, letting the air pass 360 degrees. You can find it on Amazon by clicking here.

✔ Alternatively, you can use perforated parchment paper, which allows the air to pass from below to above. You can find it on Amazon by clicking here: link.

Do not overlap the patties in the air fryer basket. This is essential for excellent results and even cooking.

✔ For this recipe, I used the air fryer COSORI 5.5 which you can find on Amazon here: link
