Harlequin Tart

Ingredients

Shortcrust pastry

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 5 oz butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 Lemon zest (Grated)
  • as needed apricot jam
  • as needed berry jam
  • as needed Nutella®
  • as needed colorful sprinkles

Steps

Shortcrust pastry preparation

  • Prepare the shortcrust pastry by placing the flour, sugar, butter at room temperature and in pieces in a bowl. Add the eggs, salt, grated lemon zest, and baking powder. Start mixing everything with your hands, finish kneading on the pastry board. Let the dough rest for about an hour in the fridge.
    With the help of parchment paper, roll out more than half of the dough and cover the bottom of the tart pan.

  • With the remaining dough, make strips and form the lattice on the tart

  • Fill the spaces with jam, alternating flavors. Leave some spaces empty; they will be filled with chocolate after baking. Bake at 356°F for about 25 minutes.

  • As soon as the tart is out of the oven, while it is still warm, fill the empty spaces with chocolate.

  • Decorate them with colorful sprinkles.

  • Let the tart cool and enjoy it immediately.
