Ingredients for two servings of Baked Cacio e Pepe Broccoli:

  • 7 oz Broccoli
  • 1 to taste Salt
  • 1 to taste Pepper
  • 1 to taste Cheese
  • 1 to taste Extra virgin olive oil

Tools

  • 2 Bowls oven-safe
  • Pot
  • Oven

Preparation of Baked Cacio e Pepe Broccoli:

  • As I mentioned, the recipe is very simple, with few steps for our excellent side dish. We start by boiling the broccoli. Put water to boil in a pot, and when it reaches a boil, we can gently add the broccoli. Usually, if the broccoli are not very large, about 10 or 15 minutes are enough; always test with a fork. When it pierces easily, they’re ready. If you wait too long, they might fall apart. Also, keep in mind that we will bake them, so a few minutes less of cooking won’t hurt our broccoli.

  • After this step, carefully drain them using a slotted spoon. Turn on the oven in grill mode. Take a tray or a bowl like in my case and place the broccoli only when they have cooled a bit. Add extra virgin olive oil. In a small bowl, work with a spoon some grated cheese and pepper. Sprinkle the broccoli with the cheese and pepper mix and bake for about 10 or 15 minutes, depending on how crispy you like them. Serve the Baked Cacio e Pepe Broccoli hot and enjoy your meal!
