With the Baked Salmon with Mustard recipe, I officially kick off the recipes for the Christmas Menu!
I would say it’s time, haven’t we finally reached December 1st of this very strange year?! Even if it won’t be a Christmas like any other, taste should not be missing at the table; we deserve it after the year we’ve had, separated but united by a deep sense of fear for the future.
To not betray our traditions and to remember that Family is important, I want to propose a simple but impressive dish to bring color and flavor to the table.

Preparation of Baked Salmon with Mustard
If you don’t have Paccasassi Mustard, you can purchase it by clicking here and get more information about this excellent product processed by a company from Marche: Rinci – Marvels of Taste
Let’s start preparing this fish-based main course about an hour before cooking.
Place the two salmon fillets on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Create a layer on top with the mustard so that the salmon is well flavored. Let it rest for about 30 – 40 minutes.
Then sprinkle with parsley, a pinch of salt, and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 350°F in static mode, and when it is well heated, bake the two salmon fillets without adding any other ingredient.
The cooking time varies a bit based on the size of the fillets we have, I let it cook for about 30 minutes, anyway you’ll see the mustard form a nice golden crust on top and the salmon reaches the right degree of tenderness and that beautiful pink color typical.
Serve the salmon hot with a good seasonal side dish and an excellent glass of wine.
Enjoy your meal!!!
Variations:
If you don’t have Paccasassi mustard, you can make the dish with regular mustard.
Notes:
You can purchase the wine paired with the recipe by clicking here – the wine is from the Winery Castrum Morisci
