Ingredients for hamburgers with olives for two people:

  • 14 oz ground meat
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp cheese (grated)
  • Half onion
  • 1 coffee cup white wine
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 10 green olives

Tools for this recipe

  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Hamburger press
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Preparation of hamburgers with olives:

for 2 people

  • Cut the green olives in half and then again in half, and rinse them under water to remove the brine taste. Let’s start with the base, so mix the ground meat in a bowl, add the salt, pepper, nutmeg, breadcrumbs, grated cheese, the two eggs, and the green olives.

Take the hamburger press if you have it and place plastic wrap on the base, take a handful of meat, add some pieces of green olive, place another sheet of plastic wrap on top, and press well. If you don’t have the machine, do it by hand, trying not to make them too thick, or they will require more cooking time.

Now take a non-stick frying pan and sauté the minced half onion in the extra virgin olive oil. When it is softened, place the hamburgers with green olives on it. Let them brown on both sides for about 5 minutes. After this time, deglaze with some white wine and continue cooking for another 6 – 7 minutes per side on low heat and covered.

Serve the hamburgers with olives hot with sauces of your choice and a not too heavy side dish. These homemade burgers are perfect for burger night with family or friends.

    Enjoy your meal!!!
