Ready to prepare a snack together? These Muffins with Liquor Cherries are super soft, fragrant, and delicious! Both adults and kids will love them and want more! After preparing them, I can tell you these cherry muffins are easy and quick to make. You’ll also find the step-by-step video recipe below the first picture! A little extra help to follow this recipe not only through reading but also visually!
I present to you one of the Fabbri 1905 Family products I received in the last Gifted package! Do you know Fabbri’s liquor cherries? It’s a new, fabulous product for many preparations! Let’s start with a simple recipe. When I experiment with new ingredients, I always choose recipes I know, easy to execute, that can adapt to the product I’m using. In this case, as other times, I chose muffins!
I love muffins, they are small, single-portion, perfect for breakfast or snack, and above all, they always please everyone! This way, I’m sure not to go wrong and not waste products! As with mint syrup muffins, I used my favorite basic muffin recipe. They always turn out beautifully risen, soft, and fragrant. My family appreciates them, and my work colleagues, when they manage to taste them, always give them top marks!
In fact, by varying the final ingredient, in this case, the liquor cherries, you can adapt this basic muffin recipe to many other variants. You can add some pre-frozen hazelnut cream from the freezer. You can add fresh fruit or other ingredients you have available at home.
Below, I’ll leave you other recipes that you can prepare using the Fabbri 1905 Family products with which I’ve made: mint syrup muffins and mint jelly, then there’s the candied ginger with which I prepared a fragrant and delicious plumcake and a savory recipe like cheese and ginger crostini. Finally, I also leave you the recipe for Cappuccino Madeleines with Cocoa Cream and Salted Caramel that I literally adore! This spreadable cream is delicious, I assure you!

- 1 Electric whisk

- 12 Baking cups
- 1 Oven
- 1 Scale
- 1 Spoon
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Cooling rack
Steps for the Recipe Muffins with Liquor Cherries
Let’s start with the basic muffin batter preparation. Take a bowl with nice high edges, place the electric whisks nearby, put the muffin pan and the paper baking cups on the work surface. Take a small bowl, spoon, scale, sieve, and a rubber spatula. In short, have everything at hand to quickly proceed with the preparation of these sweet and delicious muffins with liquor cherries!
Preheat the oven in static mode to 375°F. Weigh and sift the flours. Measure all the other necessary ingredients for this recipe and proceed. Break two eggs, which must be absolutely at room temperature, into the bowl, add a pinch of salt and start working with the electric whisk. It will take 5 to 10 minutes to get a white and frothy mixture.
Once the batter is worked, we can add the dose of brown sugar and continue to work at medium power with the whisks. Then pour the vegetable oil in a thread and continue working. If possible, never turn off the whisk. Add the milk last and continue for another 3 or 4 minutes.
Now proceed by incorporating the previously sifted flours: all-purpose flour, potato starch, and the package of baking powder for sweets. Slowly, spoon by spoon, then take the whisks and work the mixture. Also add the espresso cup of milk when it is well blended and lump-free. Be careful not to deflate the batter; if necessary, use the rubber spatula rather than the whisk.
Now take the muffin pan and bring it closer to the bowl. Remove the cherries from liquor with a spoon and place them in a small bowl. Also prepare the chocolate chips. Pour two tablespoons of batter into each baking cup, place a Fabbri 1905 liquor cherry in the center, and sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
Place the muffin tray on the center rack of the oven and let it bake for 28 to 30 minutes maximum. The muffins with liquor cherries should become beautifully golden and risen. They will be super soft and fragrant! Remove from the oven and quickly transfer to a cooling rack so they no longer receive heat from the pan.
You can now decide whether to sprinkle the desserts we just prepared with powdered sugar or leave them natural like I did. You know by now that I do not like powdered sugar as an ingredient for my recipes! I hope this muffin with cherries recipe pleased you and I invite you to send me your photographs after trying it!
All that’s left is to wish you bon appétit and remind you that I await you every morning in the group and on the Facebook fan page with the Recipe of the Day!

Storage and Tips:
You can store the liquor cherry muffins in a cake container for a few days. Considering you’ll get 12 muffins with this recipe, I don’t think they’ll last long! They lasted just an afternoon with me!
As main tips, I can reiterate the usual ones I write to you in many other sweet recipes: the eggs and milk at room temperature. Never use cold ingredients from the refrigerator unless specifically indicated in the ingredient list of a recipe! Always sift the flours before incorporating them into the liquids. Whip the eggs until frothy; when they turn white and full-bodied, it means you have worked the mixture well. Consider that the working time with electric whisks at medium power is from 5 to 10 minutes. As I often tell you, don’t rush when preparing a dessert!
Another tip is certainly the oven temperature. If you think your oven at 375°F is too hot, my old oven used to be temperamental, and often 375°F was about 410°F, lower it to 350°F and extend the muffin baking time.
