Ready for a new salmon recipe? Today I’m offering you the oven-glazed salmon with honey, spices, and herbs! I prepared this dish three times before presenting the recipe, much to the delight of my boyfriend, I might add. The recipe needed to be well-balanced, considering the sweetness of the honey, the presence of spices and herbs. Today I’m truly satisfied with the result, so much that I’m presenting you the recipe and the video recipe!
Easy and quick to prepare, the honey-glazed salmon is a main course perfect all year round. Defrosted salmon is quite affordable and easily available at the supermarket, at the fish counter. You just need to remember to put the fillets in the fridge the night before preparing the recipe that you’ll read below, so they can defrost gradually. This step is important for our health because, by doing so, we avoid temperature changes and potential bacteria formation.
Over the years, I’ve offered many salmon recipes, which I personally love. From smoked salmon, already sliced and packaged, to frozen salmon fillets from the freezer section. A versatile ingredient and easy to prepare. Below you’ll find the ones I love the most and enjoy making for dinners with friends or family. Each link is clickable and will take you directly to the recipe you’ve chosen to read.
Among these, I recommend the salmon with pistachio crust, which I prepare every year for Christmas Eve dinner, and the pasta with salmon and cherry tomatoes. I’ve served this recipe every time with a crunchy salad mix dressed with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt, so as not to overwhelm the guests. But if you wish, you can serve this honey-glazed salmon fillet with oven-roasted potatoes, since it will already be hot from the fish cooking. Here’s my recipe for rosemary oven-roasted potatoes, crunchy outside and soft inside. An infallible recipe!

Recipe Steps for Oven-Baked Salmon with Honey Glaze
As I mentioned, it’s a simple and quick recipe to follow. Make sure to defrost the salmon fillets in time. Let me now explain what to do. The first thing I do is turn on the oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can be nice and hot when I go to bake the honey salmon.
Then I take a small bowl and add all the herbs I’ve chosen, in this case, all dried herbs for convenience. So: parsley, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Don’t worry, if you don’t like one of these herbs, don’t use it. I’ve then added a pinch of curry and paprika. Again, if you don’t like them, don’t use them. Always choose ingredients that you know and like, to avoid wasting food unnecessarily.
With a teaspoon, I mixed the herbs and set them aside. I placed a baking dish on the work surface and covered the bottom with a slightly moistened parchment paper sheet. I took the salmon fillets from the fridge and placed them in the baking dish.
With a kitchen brush, I glazed the surface of the salmon with acacia honey. Without overdoing it, it should be a firm brushstroke on the surface and edges. Then I sprinkled everything with the herbs and spices I had prepared.
As the last ingredient, I added a few pink peppercorns. I sprinkled with salt and pepper. Then I placed the salmon fillets in the oven, letting them cook for about 30 minutes. I did not add extra virgin olive oil, given the presence of acacia honey. If you want to add it, you can drizzle a little olive oil on the salmon just before serving.
For the cooking time, of course, I base it on the size of my salmon fillets. If yours, even just visually, are larger than mine, you will need to extend the baking time.
I prepared a crunchy salad mix, dressed with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and some salt, so that, once the salmon was ready, I could accompany the dish in the simplest and quickest way possible.
All that’s left is to wish you a good meal and remind you that I’ll be here every day on my cooking blog with many easy, quick, and delicious recipes like this one!
Recipe Tips and Variations:
Tips: as mentioned, it’s crucial to defrost the salmon fillets in time before proceeding with the preparation of the oven-glazed salmon with acacia honey and spices. As highlighted, if you don’t like any of the herbs or spices, change them. In cooking, as in many other aspects of life, it’s crucial to follow your tastes, and if these don’t match yours, change the ingredients to avoid mistakes.
Variations: you can, of course, use fresh salmon fillets. Make sure to remove the bones well. You can also use wild salmon fillets, which are less pink in color but have a firmer texture. If you don’t have acacia honey , but have another type of honey in your pantry, it will be just fine. There’s no need to buy a new type of honey if you’re not sure you’ll like it.
