Air Fryer Caramelized Cinnamon Apples

Craving a healthy and quick comfort food? Prepare these caramelized cinnamon apples, cooked in an air fryer in no time, and you won’t regret it!

You’ll get delicious baked apples with a cinnamon and caramel flavor, light (I used whole cane sugar), gluten-free, and vegan. Tried and tested recipe, you can’t go wrong. Perfect as a healthy snack during the day.

The benefits of air frying are numerous: no need to preheat the oven, cooking is faster, cheaper, and healthier (requires very little fat), fewer pots and dishes to wash, and no smoke or odors.

Note that the temperature and cooking times are generally indicative, as much depends on your type of air fryer, but all my Blog’s recipes are thoroughly tested by me first, so they are more than reliable. Anyway, I recommend checking the cooking every now and then to best adjust time and temperature to your fryer.

Shopping Tips!!!

I am very satisfied with the Philips Air fryer, with a spacious basket. Additionally, the Rapid Air technology creates optimal hot air circulation, cooking food evenly and keeping it crispy outside and tender inside. With many cooking functions in one: Fry, bake, grill, roast, and reheat. A healthier way to cook, as it separates and captures excess fat (healthy and tasty dishes with up to 90% less fat). Cooks up to 50% faster and saves up to 70% energy compared to an oven (halves cooking time compared to a conventional oven as it does NOT require preheating). Handy “Keep Warm” mode. All components are easily removable and dishwasher safe. Highly recommended! Available on Amazon at a special price. Highly recommended!

These Air Fryer Paper Liners, disposable, without holes do not dirty the fryer, but hot air circulates because they are very thin. They are also oil and water-resistant, non-stick, do not burn, and can be used in a regular oven. I often use this convenient perforated parchment paper for the air fryer, non-stick easy to clean, can also be used in a conventional oven.

Recently, I have also discovered these very useful non-stick, perforated mats for air fryers, they can replace parchment paper and protect the air fryer.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)

  • How do you store caramelized baked apples?

Let the apples cool and then store them in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 3/4 days. You can also freeze them in sliced portions for 2-3 months.

  • Air fryer parchment paper: which one to choose?

If using the air fryer for food that drips (like batter), it’s better to use parchment paper trays WITHOUT holes (the paper is very light and air and heat still circulate). If the foods to be cooked in the air fryer are dry and do not drip, it’s preferable to use perforated parchment paper. I have recently also discovered very useful non-stick, perforated mats for air fryers, they can replace parchment paper and protect the air fryer. (see Shopping Tips above).
