Super Fast and Fluffy Apple Fritters in Air Fryer
How to get a comfort food in a few minutes? These super fast and light apple fritters, cooked in an air fryer, without frying, are just like fried ones, but lighter and light, will win you over at the first bite.
Ideal for Carnival, but delicious always, any time of the year.
These air fryer apple fritters are really super fluffy and light, I didn’t believe it was possible, but just look at the photos to realize that it is possible to get equally fluffy and very soft apple rings, without having to be greasy and soaked in oil.
The advantages of cooking in the air fryer are numerous: you don’t have to preheat the oven, cooking is faster, cheaper, and healthier (very little fat is needed) you don’t dirty many pots and dishes, no smoke or odors
Please note that the temperature and cooking times are generally indicative, because it greatly depends on your type of air fryer anyway, the recipes on my Blog are all previously and rigorously tested by me, so more than tested, however, I recommend checking the cooking every now and then, to better adapt the times and temperature to your fryer.
To cook these apple fritters – without messing up my air fryer – I used these very useful Parchment Paper Liners for Air Fryer, WITHOUT holes , but very thin, so the hot air circulates equally well, I find them ideal for very greasy or dripping foods (like the batter of these fritters). They are disposable, oil and water-resistant, non-stick, do not burn, and can also go in the regular oven, you can find them on Amazon (see Purchasing Tips below).
I often also use this very convenient perforated parchment paper WITH holes for air fryer, easy to clean, can also be used in the regular oven, always found on Amazon at a great price (see Purchasing Tips below).

Steps for Super Fast and Fluffy Apple Fritters in Air Fryer
Peel the apples, core them and slice them not too thin, and season them with the juice of a lemon to prevent them from turning brown.
Then prepare the batter: break the egg into a bowl and beat it with electric whisks (or by hand) then add the sugar and whip for about 5 minutes, then also add the vanilla, cinnamon, flour, salt, and sifted baking powder, alternating with the milk. Mix until you get a fairly thick batter.
Let the batter rest covered with plastic wrap in the fridge, for about 35 minutes.
Dip the apple slices into the batter and make sure they are well coated.
Place a sheet of parchment paper WITHOUT holes in the air fryer basket (see “Purchasing Tips” below), spray a little oil on the bottom of the pan, lay the apple slices in a single layer, without overlapping them.
Set the air fryer temperature to 356°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes, turn them after 10 minutes of cooking and space them apart.
Once cooked, when they are still warm, brush the apple fritters with whole milk and then immediately pass them in granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon.
These delicious apple fritters are excellent when freshly made, but you can store them in the fridge for about 3 days (and then reheat them).
Or, once cooked, you can even freeze them in food bags and reheat them in the oven at 392°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes.
From the photos, you can see how fluffy and very soft these apple ringlets are, even inside.
Purchasing Tips!!!
I am very satisfied with the Cosori air fryer, with large 5.7-liter basket, an optimal circulation of hot air that makes food: crispy outside and soft inside
A healthier way to cook, because it separates and captures excess fat (healthy and tasty dishes and up to 97% less fat). Cuts cooking times in half compared to the classic oven, with significant economic and time savings. Finally, the individual components are all easily removable and dishwasher safe. Highly recommended!
Very useful are these disposable Parchment Paper Liners for Air Fryer, without holes do not dirty the fryer, but the hot air circulates the same because they are very thin. They are also oil and water-resistant, non-stick, do not burn, and can also go in the regular oven, always found on Amazon.
I also often use this convenient perforated parchment paper for air fryer, non-stick, easy to clean, can also be used in the regular oven, found on Amazon at a great price.
Moreover, if you want to keep your air fryer clean and at the same time, protected from scratches and abrasions (e.g.: from tongs) these Reusable Non-stick Heat Resistant Grids are very useful.
