Storage

Baked figs are best when freshly made. If there are leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for up to 1 day in an airtight container and reheat them quickly in the oven or air fryer.

Tips

You can choose either sweet or spicy gorgonzola, depending on the intensity of flavor you prefer.

Add a few drops of balsamic vinegar for an even more aromatic contrast.

If you want to make the recipe richer, add a few slices of prosciutto crudo after cooking.

Variants

With other cheeses: instead of gorgonzola, you can use brie, taleggio, or creamy goat cheese.

With different nuts: try almonds, pistachios, or toasted hazelnuts instead of walnuts.

Tartine version: spread the hot figs directly on the bread and enrich with a few flakes of gorgonzola.
