These banana, coconut, and chocolate bars are a light and vegan version of the classic bounty, easy to prepare and delicious. They are lactose-free, gluten-free, with no added refined sugars, and despite all these “no’s,” they are truly delicious! To prepare them, you only need three ingredients. Coconut is one of the main ingredients of bounty, which you’ll also find in this recipe, along with dark chocolate to cover our bars, which, for a silkier texture, can be melted with coconut oil, and bananas that, combined with the coconut, will create our delicious treats. All plant-based ingredients that you’ll surely have at home!
The preparation is very simple: mash the bananas with a fork and combine with the coconut. Form small bars and let them cool in the freezer for half an hour. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and dip each bar in the melted chocolate. Leave in the freezer until the chocolate hardens and decorate with shredded coconut.
Here are many reasons to make these healthy fit bounty bars as soon as possible:
• They are lactose-free because we do not use cream, mascarpone, or other spreadable cheeses or yogurt to prepare them. Instead, we use ripe bananas.
• They are also gluten-free because no type of flour is needed to prepare them.
• They contain no added refined sugars as we leverage the natural sweetness of ripe bananas to sweeten these treats. If, for our personal taste, we prefer a sweeter note, we can opt for maple syrup, agave syrup, or erythritol.
• They require no baking but a good freezer to solidify our fit bounty. We only need to melt the dark chocolate, but in this case, the microwave comes to the rescue as it melts it perfectly in seconds. So, even though they are good all year round, they are perfect to prepare in summer because, aside from being no-bake, they are enjoyed cold!
• They are very easy to make, requiring no particular skills or strange equipment, just shape them with your hands.
• They are a cute and healthy way to eat fruit and get even those who don’t love it much to eat it. The bananas are practically hidden in their chocolate shell and make a fantastic combo with the coconut!
A healthy and tasty snack that can be enjoyed at any time of the day, so what are you waiting for? Try these healthy and delicious coconut and chocolate bars!

How to Make Fit Bounty
Start preparing the bars with bananas, coconut, and chocolate by first peeling the three bananas and placing them in a bowl.
Mash them with a fork to make a puree.
Add the coconut and mix with a fork until you get a compact mixture.
With your hands, shape small bars similar in shape to a bounty and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper as you go. Put them in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave.
With the help of two spoons or two forks, dip each banana and coconut fit bounty in the chocolate to cover them completely and put them back in the freezer.
Once the chocolate has hardened, decorate with shredded coconut and enjoy your healthy bounty.
Simo and Cicci Recommend
