Chocolate Molten Lava Cake, a simple, quick recipe that you can prepare in a few minutes with a simple hand whisk.
A dessert with an intense dark chocolate flavor, without yeast, perfect for elegantly finishing a meal that will delight all your guests. You can prepare your cakes at the last minute as they require only a few minutes for preparation and just 8-10 minutes of baking, or for convenience, you can prepare them in molds and freeze them. If you decide to freeze the cakes to have them ready at any occasion, increase the baking time to at least 12 minutes.
For those who love recipes with an intense chocolate flavor, I also remind you of
- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 8 cakes
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
The main ingredient is dark chocolate.
- 10.5 oz dark chocolate
- 5.6 oz butter
- 4 eggs
- 0.4 cups all-purpose flour
- to taste vanilla flavor
- to taste butter (for greasing the molds)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting the molds)
- to taste powdered sugar (for serving)
Tools
Important for preparing this dessert are the aluminum molds
- 1 Bowl
- 8 Molds
Preparation
The preparation of the batter is really simple and requires only a few minutes.
The first step is to break the chocolate into pieces in the bowl, add the butter, and melt it in a double boiler or as I did in the microwave. Once the chocolate and butter are well melted, add one egg at a time, mixing with the whisk, then the flour and vanilla flavor. Your batter will be ready.
An important step now is to grease your molds and dust them with unsweetened cocoa, pour the batter into the molds with the help of a ladle, and dust again with unsweetened cocoa.
Finally, bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 8 minutes. If you want them less soft inside, you can continue baking for another 2 minutes, but do not exceed a total of 10 minutes, otherwise, they will no longer have the soft chocolate center.
Let your chocolate cake cool for a couple of minutes, turn it onto the serving plate (it will come off easily), and dust it with a little powdered sugar before serving.
NOTES
My advice is to bake the cake just before consuming it to best appreciate its soft center; otherwise, they can also be enjoyed cold, but the chocolate inside will set a bit.
