I saw them everywhere on social media, and in the end, I gave in to temptation: the Franuì, those famous sweets with raspberries covered in white and dark chocolate, won me over at the first bite.
Not only are they made in 5 minutes with just three ingredients, but they have a fresh, chocolatey taste that made my whole family fall in love. They are perfect to offer at the end of a meal or to give as a gift: one leads to another, and they disappear in no time!
The original version uses raspberries, which with their slightly acidic flavor go perfectly with chocolate. But if you want to try something different, you can have fun substituting them with other fruits: chopped strawberries, blueberries, banana slices… the result will always be delicious and super tasty.
Moreover, being made only from fruit and chocolate, these sweets are gluten-free and are perfect for those with intolerances or following a gluten-free diet.
A simple, quick, and customizable recipe, perfect to prepare with children or when you crave a fresh homemade treat!

Ingredients
- 1 package raspberries
- 3.5 oz white chocolate
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate
Tools
- 1 Tongs
- 2 Small Bowls
Preparation
Gently wash the raspberries under cold water and dry them well with kitchen paper. To make the chocolate coating easier, I recommend placing them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes: this way they will be more compact and the chocolate will adhere better.
If you want to optimize time, you can prepare them the day before and keep them in the freezer until ready to use.
However, if you’re short on time, you can also coat them fresh: the result will still be great!
Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave, which is the quickest and most convenient method.
If using the microwave, set it to medium temperature and melt the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring with a teaspoon each time to prevent burning. As soon as you see that it becomes fluid and smooth when stirred, it’s ready to use.
At this point, take the raspberries one by one and gently dip them in the white chocolate. You can use kitchen tongs or a small fork to help you. Carefully turn them to cover completely, drain them slightly, and place them on a sheet of parchment paper.
Once all the raspberries are covered in white chocolate and slightly dry, you can proceed with the second coating. Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave, still using 30-second intervals and stirring well each time.
As soon as the chocolate is completely melted, keep stirring it for a few seconds: this will slightly lower the temperature and make it shiny and fluid, just like in a small homemade tempering. This step helps the chocolate solidify well and create a crunchy coating.
Now take the raspberries already covered in white chocolate and dip them one by one into the dark chocolate. Turn them gently to cover them evenly, drain well, and place them again on a sheet of parchment paper to dry.
NOTES
Store the Franuì in the refrigerator in an airtight container to keep them fresh, but if you eat them soon, you can also leave them at room temperature, especially if it’s not too warm.
They are also excellent to serve with an iced coffee or as a summer dessert!
