Hamburger Flatbread: a Quick and Tasty Recipe to Try Right Away

Hamburger Flatbread: a Quick and Tasty Recipe to Try Right Away, perfect for a delicious meal that always pleases both adults and children. It can be prepared in just a few minutes and is ideal when you crave something good but have little time. I used homemade flatbreads, but store-bought ones are also fine: just use a non-stick pan or a griddle on the stove, and lunch is served in a few minutes!
This time I chose ground beef, sun-dried tomatoes in oil, lettuce, salt, and pepper: a simple yet exceptional combination. We can enrich it each time with different ingredients or add a sauce to make it even more delicious. A complete and tasty dish, without even turning on the oven!

Ingredients

  • 1 flatbread
  • 5.29 oz ground beef
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 slices of processed cheese
  • 5 sun-dried tomatoes in oil
  • to taste mixed lettuce

Tools

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet
  • 1 Spatula

Preparation

  • Take the ground beef and, with your hands, press it directly onto the flatbread, forming a thin layer. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Heat a griddle or non-stick pan well and place the flatbread on the meat side, allowing it to cook until nicely browned.

  • With the help of a spatula, gently flip the flatbread, being careful not to break the meat layer. Continue cooking on the same griddle and immediately fill with a slice of processed cheese, some sun-dried tomatoes in oil, and a bit of fresh lettuce.

  • Once again with the spatula, fold the flatbread in half, as if it were a sandwich, and let it brown well on both sides. In a few minutes, it will be nicely hot, crispy on the outside, and cheesy on the inside… a real delight!

NOTES

If you want a lighter version, use lean meat or veggie burgers.

Sun-dried tomatoes in oil add an extra touch, but you can replace them with fresh, grilled, or dried tomatoes.

For an even richer flavor, add a sauce: mayonnaise, yogurt, mustard, or the one you prefer!
