Pumpkin in the Air Fryer

Pumpkin in the air fryer, for a light, tasty, and quick-to-prepare side dish. There are several recipes to prepare pumpkin in the air fryer, and after many trials, I find that cutting the pumpkin into strips is a perfect method for a crispy and quick cooking.
To prepare the pumpkin, I use the air fryer at maximum power, wash the pumpkin, cut it into strips, and season it on the plate before placing it in the fryer basket.
I simply season it with salt, pepper, oil, and a bit of turmeric, which adds not only flavor but also many beneficial properties that remain intact during cooking.

Side dishes help make every meal complete and enrich our cuisine with many vitamins and minerals. I remind you of other quick recipes to prepare

Ingredients

  • 0.66 lbs pumpkin
  • 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

Tools

To prepare these pumpkin strips, I used the air fryer. I also recommend a good smooth-blade kitchen knife to cut the pumpkin well and quickly.

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Preparation

The preparation of pumpkin in the air fryer is simple and quick.

  • Remove the skin and seeds from the pumpkin and wash it well under running water. Cut it first into slices and then into strips of the thickness you prefer. The thinner they are, the faster they will cook.

  • Put all the cut pumpkin in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, oil, and turmeric. Mix well and place it in the air fryer at maximum power for about 30 minutes. After about 15 minutes, open the basket, check the cooking, and stir a bit to allow all the pumpkin to cook evenly.

  • When your pumpkin is cooked, you’ll notice it by the browned color and especially by the

crispiness, I suggest putting it in a small strainer before serving it without paper towels to allow it to maintain its

crunchiness, but I assure you that even if you leave it on a regular plate and it becomes softer, it will still be very appreciated because it has a truly unique flavor. Accompanied by good fresh bread, it will disappear in a few minutes!!!

NOTES

I recommend consuming your pumpkin still hot right out of the air fryer for an excellent side dish, but you could also use it on small bread bruschettas to make your appetizers unique.
