Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 180 g brown sugar (preferably muscovado)
- 70 g honey
- 7/8 cup milk
- 7/8 cup vegetable oil
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 packet baking powder
- 20 g sugar pearls (to decorate the surface)
Tools
- 1 Stand Mixer
- 1 Bundt Cake Pan
Preparation
Place the eggs, sugar, and honey in the stand mixer bowl or a bowl and beat well until fluffy. Then, while continuing to mix, add the oil, milk, flour, spices, and finally the packet of baking powder. Use the electric beaters to combine everything into a smooth batter.
Grease and flour a bundt cake pan with a diameter of 10-11 inches. Pour the batter into the pan evenly and tap the pan lightly on the table to remove any air bubbles that may form during preparation.
Sprinkle the surface with sugar pearls and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F (180°C) for 35 minutes.
Before removing the bundt cake from the oven, always remember to do the toothpick test: if it comes out dry, the cake is ready. Let it cool completely before removing it from the pan.
NOTE
The spiced cake is also perfect as a dessert, thanks to its intense spice flavor, making it an ideal conclusion to the meal, perhaps accompanied by a small glass of malvasia wine. To make it even more delicious, you can add some walnut kernels mixed with the sugar pearls on the surface, for an extra touch of indulgence.
