Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 lemon zest (grated)
  • 1 packet baking powder

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Loaf Pan
  • 1 Immersion Blender

Preparation

  • For a quick and easy preparation, start by gathering all the ingredients. Peel the banana and the apple, cut them into pieces, and place them in a tall container. Add some of the water specified in the recipe and blend with an immersion mixer until you have a smooth, homogeneous puree.

  • In a large bowl, pour the fruit puree and brown sugar. Add the remaining water and mix with a whisk. Add the vegetable oil, then gradually incorporate the flour, continuing to mix to prevent lumps. Add the grated lemon zest and finally the baking powder. When the batter is smooth and homogeneous, it is ready for baking.

  • Pour the batter into a previously greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 50 minutes. Before removing from the oven, perform the toothpick test: inserting it in the center of the cake, it should come out dry.

NOTES

Naturally sweet cake 🍌🍏: thanks to the banana and apple, this banana apple bread has a delicate and pleasantly sweet flavor, perfect even with little sugar.

Perfect texture 🧁: it remains soft and moist until the last slice, without drying out. Store it in an airtight container to keep it fluffy longer.

Delicious variations ✨: you can enrich it with chocolate chips, nuts, or a pinch of cinnamon for an even more aromatic touch.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • Can I replace the flour with a gluten-free version?

Yes! You can replace the flour with a gluten-free flour mix, such as rice flour and almond flour, or use a specific mix for baking. Keep in mind that the texture might vary slightly, so you may need to adjust the amount of liquids to achieve a homogeneous batter.
