Chicken Curry Meatballs

Chicken curry meatballs, easy to prepare, tasty and fragrant thanks to the curry which gives a strong and decisive flavor to the chicken meat.

This recipe is really simple and you don’t even need eggs to bind the meat.
If you’re celiac, you can replace the breadcrumbs with cornmeal breadcrumbs or dried crumbs of your favorite gluten-free bread.

These chicken meatballs are extremely tasty, but if you like strong flavors, you can use green curry or red curry for an even more intense flavor.

  • Start the preparation of the chicken curry meatballs by peeling the onion and grating it with a large-hole grater.
Add the grated onion to the ground chicken, a tablespoon of curry, a pinch of garlic powder, salt, and some chopped chives.
Mix well with a spatula or spoon.

  • Dry the mixture with a couple of tablespoons of breadcrumbs and mix again.
Add a bit more if the mixture is still too moist.

  • Form the meatballs: take some mixture with a spoon or an ice cream scoop.
Pass it between slightly damp hands to form a slightly flattened meatball.

  • Continue the same way until all the mixture is used up.

  • Roll the meatballs in the flour to which you can add some curry to make them even more flavorful.
Heat a tablespoon of oil with a knob of butter and a teaspoon of curry in a pan.

  • Place the meatballs in the pan and sear them well on all sides, it will take about 5 minutes in total.

  • Deglaze the meatballs with white wine and cook on low heat for another 10 minutes.

  • Turn the meatballs often to prevent them from drying out too much.
Transfer the chicken curry meatballs to the plates with their sauce and a bit more chives.
