Recipe for Cinnamon Apple Fritters
Begin the preparation of the cinnamon apple fritters by weighing the all-purpose flour in a bowl. Also add the baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
Mix to blend the dry ingredients and try to break up any lumps of flour.Add the liquid ingredients to the bowl: the egg, milk, sunflower oil, and maple syrup.
Mix with the whisk until you get a thick, lump-free batter.
Set aside for the moment.Prepare the coating sugar by adding a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
Mix and set aside.Wash the apples and cut them into slices no thicker than 1/4 inch.
Remove the central core with the appropriate tool, a knife, or even a piping nozzle.
I left the peel on, but you can remove it if you prefer.Dip the apples into the prepared batter and drain them well.
Drop the apples into the hot peanut oil and fry them a couple of minutes per side or until they are nicely golden brown.
Remove the fritters from the pan with a pair of tongs and toss them directly into the cinnamon sugar. Press the fritters well to make the sugar adhere perfectly.
Let them warm up well and serve the cinnamon apple fritters.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can I use another type of flour instead of all-purpose flour?
Yes, you can replace all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour or type 1 flour, but the texture may be slightly different. Gluten-free flour can also work, but make sure to maintain the right proportion of liquids.
How can I store leftover fritters?
Fritters should be eaten freshly made, but you can store them in an airtight container for a day. Before serving again, heat them briefly in the oven or fry them lightly to restore crispiness.
Can I make the batter in advance?
Yes, you can prepare the batter in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Make sure to stir it well before using.
Can I add other spices to the recipe?
Certainly! You can add a pinch of nutmeg, ginger, or cloves to make the fritters even more aromatic.
