Crispy Fish Fillets

Crispy Fish Fillets, a delicious and versatile dish, characterized by a golden, crispy outer crust and a tender, juicy interior with a light and crispy panko breading.

The panko is a type of Japanese breadcrumb, lighter and airier than the traditional ones. The larger and flakier structure of panko helps it stay crispier during cooking, making it perfect for creating a crunchy crust around fish fillets.

This recipe, suitable for both adults and children, is prepared in just a few minutes. You can cook the fish fillets in the oven, air fryer, or in a pan. They are perfect for both lunch and dinner.

If you like experimenting, you can also try different versions, such as fish tacos with crispy fillets, avocado sauce, or add them to a quinoa salad for a more complete meal.

At the end of the recipe, in the FAQ section, I answered some questions regarding this preparation. If you have other doubts or curiosities, you can leave a comment or use the contact form at the end of the page.

    It should get slightly golden.

  • Transfer the panko to a bowl.
Season it with dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Mix with a spoon and set aside.

Beat the egg and milk with a fork until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  • Transfer the fish fillets onto a cutting board and pat them dry very well on all sides with kitchen paper towels.

  • Dip the fish fillets into the egg and milk mixture, making sure not to leave any side out.

  • Transfer each fillet to the seasoned panko. Press the panko well onto each fillet to adhere well.
