  • Start preparing the pizza toast by seasoning the tomato sauce with salt and black pepper.
Place four slices of white bread on the baking sheet. I used a reusable baking sheet to cover it; if you don’t have one, you can use a silicone mat or traditional parchment paper.
Spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce on each slice of white bread.

  • Continue by adding the mozzarella: I recommend using grated mozzarella; alternatively, you can use regular mozzarella cheese.
Finish the first layer with cooked ham.

  • Cover the first layer with another slice of white bread.
Continue the preparation with a tablespoon of tomato sauce and a bit more mozzarella.
    Finish with some dried oregano.

  • Bake the pizza toast in a preheated oven with fan mode at 392°F (428°F for static mode) for 5-7 minutes: they will be ready when the mozzarella has melted and has a slightly golden crust.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)

  • What other flavors do you suggest?

You can turn all your favorite pizzas into toast. One of the versions I like the most is definitely margherita with anchovies.

  • Can you use other types of bread?

I advise against using toast bread, as it dries out too much in the oven. However, you can use sandwich bread or experiment with different flours, such as whole grain or seed loaf.
