  • 4 cups potatoes
  • 7 oz codfish
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • to taste chives
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Recipe for Potato and Cod Meatballs in Air Fryer

  • Start preparing the potato and cod meatballs in the air fryer by cooking the potatoes.
    You can cook them whole in boiling water for about 40 minutes or peel, cube them, and cook in the microwave in a bowl covered with plastic wrap with 2 oz of water for 10 minutes.

  • Once cooked, mash the potatoes with the appropriate tool until you get a puree.

  • Season the potatoes with salt, black pepper, and chives.
    Alternatively, you can use parsley.

  • Continue by adding a beaten egg.
    Mix with a spoon to combine the ingredients.

  • Add the grated Pecorino Romano cheese and all-purpose flour to the bowl.
    If you are celiac, use cornstarch or rice flour.

  • Chop the cod and squeeze it well if you use frozen.
    Add it to the rest of the ingredients along with the breadcrumbs.
    Mix again until you get a homogeneous and non-sticky mixture.

  • Form the meatballs by taking a spoonful of dough and working it between your hands.
