Savory Caprese Tart: The Easy and Tasty Recipe

Savory Caprese Tart, a simple and flavorful recipe, perfect for bringing all the tastes and colors of summer to the table.

Inspired by the famous Caprese salad, this crust version combines the crispness of the shortcrust pastry with the freshness of oxheart tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, all completed by the unmistakable scent of fresh basil.

Ideal to serve as an appetizer or as a light main dish for an outdoor dinner, the savory tart with tomatoes and mozzarella is also a perfect solution for buffets and picnics: it can be prepared in advance and is easy to transport.

The shortcrust base, pre-baked to make it golden and fragrant, then welcomes a simple yet irresistible topping: thinly sliced oxheart tomatoes, well-drained buffalo mozzarella, and a few fresh basil leaves. The secret to perfect success lies in the quality of the ingredients: ripe but firm tomatoes, intensely flavored buffalo mozzarella, and freshly picked basil.

This Caprese savory tart demonstrates how, with a few genuine ingredients, you can create a scenic and flavorful dish in no time. Indeed, it takes just over 30 minutes to bring a recipe to the table that captivates at the first taste.

Whether you want to enrich a summer aperitif, impress guests with a colorful appetizer, or simply enjoy a fresh and light dish, the savory Caprese tart is always a winning choice. And, like every self-respecting summer recipe, it smells of sun, conviviality, and holidays.
