Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken, a Japanese traditional recipe based on soy sauce prepared in a slow cooker that makes the meat very tender and flavorful.

This chicken dish is enhanced by teriyaki sauce, a condiment made from soy sauce, sugar, and ginger.

Preparation in a slow cooker makes this recipe really simple: after preparing the sauce, everything is placed in the pot, covered, and left to cook without ever uncovering or needing to check the cooking.

At the end of the recipe in the FAQ section, I have answered some frequently asked questions about this preparation, especially on substitutions and cooking methods on a traditional stove. If you have other doubts, leave a comment or use the contact form.

Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.

  • Shred the chicken with two forks, even better if you have pulled pork claws.

  • Transfer the slow cooker teriyaki chicken to plates and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped chives or the green part of a scallion.
