- 1/3 cup chestnuts, boiled
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp barley malt
- 3 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1/2 tsp instant dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt

Soft Chestnut Bread Recipe
Start preparing the soft chestnut bread by placing room temperature water and milk into the mixer bowl.
Sprinkle in the dry yeast and let it dissolve completely.
Add in the sunflower oil and barley malt.Continue by adding the all-purpose flour, chestnut flour, and salt into the bowl.
Knead for about 15 minutes, you should obtain a fairly smooth dough.
Transfer the dough onto the pastry board, make a couple of folds, and shape it into a round form.
Place it in a greased bowl and cover with a cloth, let it rise until it doubles in size.After the rising time, roll the dough into a rectangle.
Add the previously crumbled boiled chestnuts to the dough.Roll the dough along the short side and seal the edges well by pinching the dough with your fingers.
Transfer the bread into a 12-inch loaf pan lined with parchment paper and garnish with additional crumbled boiled chestnuts.Bake the soft chestnut bread in a preheated static oven at 392°F for about 45-50 minutes. If it darkens too much during baking, cover it with aluminum foil.
Let it cool completely before slicing.
