Crispy Feta Bites

Crispy Feta Bites are a quick and tasty recipe to make. A different way to enjoy feta and to liven up a salad that would otherwise be dull and plain. These bites can also be served as finger food with a little honey or balsamic vinegar. For this preparation I preferred to use feta cubes in brine, but if you have blocks of feta to use, you can easily make them with those. Try this recipe now — it’s really a gem!

  • 5.3 oz feta
  • 1 egg
  • as needed breadcrumbs
  • as needed extra virgin olive oil
  • as needed spices (to taste)

To prepare the Crispy Feta Bites:

  • Crispy Feta Bites are an easy and tasty recipe to prepare, so:

    In a bowl, break the egg and season with salt and pepper, then beat it.

  • In another bowl, place the breadcrumbs and season them with your chosen spices (I used oregano, but you can also add paprika).

  • Drain the feta if you’re using cubes in brine, or simply cut it into cubes if you have a block.

  • Dip the feta first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs, turning to coat well.

  • Arrange all the breaded bites in the air fryer on parchment paper and spray a little extra virgin olive oil.

  • Cook at 392°F for about 15 minutes or until golden.

    Serve hot and… Enjoy!

I preferred to cook these feta bites in the air fryer, but for an even more indulgent result you can fry them in plenty of vegetable oil, drain them on paper towels, and you’ll taste the delight!

They can also be kept for a few hours at room temperature.
