Ingredients

  • 5 artichokes in oil (quantity as desired)

  • 1 baguette (small)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste chives

Tools

  • 1 Immersion Blender
  • 1 Grill Pan

Steps

  • First, blend the artichokes together with the cream cheese (I used Philadelphia) with an immersion blender until you get a smooth cream without pieces.

  • Add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, finely chopped chives, and mix well with a spatula.

  • Now, cut into slices (about 0.4 inches thick) a loaf of white or whole wheat bread (I used a type of bread called rubatà, with a diameter of 1.6 inches), place the slices on a grill pan and grill for a few minutes.

Alternatively, put them in the oven (or in a pan) with a drizzle of oil.

  • Then, place them on a serving plate.

  • Now you are ready for the filling: put the artichoke cream in a piping bag with a star nozzle and cover the bread crostini. Garnish with chives and serve.
