Ingredients for Crostini with Stracchino, Cherry Tomatoes, and Tuna

  • 1 baguette
  • 1 package stracchino cheese (8.8 oz)
  • 1 can canned tuna in oil (7 oz)
  • sprigs chives
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • arugula
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • to taste oregano

Tools for Crostini with Stracchino, Cherry Tomatoes, and Tuna

  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Griddle

Steps

  • First, place the stracchino and finely chopped chives (or arugula) in a small bowl, mix well with a fork.

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes, pat them dry with paper towels (or a clean kitchen towel), cut them into wedges and season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, salt, and oregano.

  • At this point, cut a loaf of white or whole wheat bread into slices about 0.6 inches thick, place the slices on a griddle and grill them for a few minutes on both sides.

    Alternatively, place them in the oven (or in a pan) with a drizzle of oil.

  • Then, place them on a serving plate.

  • Now you’re ready for the filling: spread the cheese cream on the crostini, then add the cherry tomatoes and tuna to taste, finish with some arugula leaves.
