Fish Stew, a tasty main course, appetizing and flavorful, that practically everyone likes. Ideal for a family lunch or a dinner with friends.
An excellent alternative to the classic meat stew. Moreover, it is much quicker to prepare because the cooking times are shorter, saving you time for other preparations.
To prepare the fish stew, I used fresh salmon, tuna, and swordfish steaks. They are perfect for this recipe because they have a meaty and firm flesh that makes them easy to cut, and they have very similar cooking times.
Alternatively, you can also use cod or rainbow trout, for example.
But now let’s see together how to make the Fish Stew recipe. Prepare the ingredients, and let’s get started.

Steps
HOW TO MAKE FISH STEW
First, skin the fresh salmon, cut it into chunks, and set aside. Do the same with the tuna and swordfish steak. Try to make the pieces roughly the same size.
Place some flour in a container and flour the fish, removing any excess.
Then, in a large enough pan (mine is about 11 inches), heat 5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, add the finely chopped onion using a cord chopper (practical and very fast), and sauté until golden, then add the floured fish.
Let it brown, turning occasionally, then add the white wine and let it evaporate. Cover with a lid and finish cooking. In total, it will take about 10 – 15 minutes, depending on the size of the fish cubes.
Before serving, add chopped fresh parsley and grated lemon zest.
Decorate as desired and serve. Here is the ready Fish Stew. Enjoy your meal!
