The baked apples with air fryer are a delicious dessert to serve on any occasion. Super easy to make, tasty, and with a delightful surprise of flavors and extra elements.
With this recipe and procedure, you can also prepare pears or peaches in summer. You just need to wash the apples well and hollow out the core in the center of the fruit, fill with the mixture of honey and margarine (also soft butter for those who are not vegan) and add the special effect, a pinch of salt that recreates an unexpected and delightful salted caramel flavor. But I would say, let’s start the explanation of the recipe before my mouth starts watering.
- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Very Economical
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 4People
- Cooking methods: Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 2 Golden apples
- 4 tbsps vegetable margarine
- 2 tbsps honey
- 1 pinch fine salt
- as needed sugar
- as needed pine nuts and dried cranberries
Steps
Wash the apples very well, even better if they are organic, then cut them in half horizontally and remove the central core.
Place the apples in a 8×8 inch rectangular or round pan suitable for your air fryer and sprinkle them with a dusting of sugar.
Start the first part of the cooking in the air fryer at 350°F for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling mixture by mixing in a small bowl the soft vegetable margarine, liquid honey, and a generous pinch of salt.
After the 10 minutes of the first cooking of the apples, take the pan out of the air fryer.
Place a teaspoon of honey filling in the center of each apple half, some pine nuts, and a few dried cranberries.
Put the apples back in the air fryer and continue to cook them for another 10 minutes still at 350°F.
