Nothing could be easier, quicker, and less messy in the kitchen, microwave boiled potatoes will save you energy and time. They will cook without water, only with their natural moisture, and will be dry and perfect for mashing and using in gnocchi. But they are also great for a potato salad seasoned with aioli sauce or eggless fake mayonnaise or with tasty remoulade sauce.
You will need whole and healthy potatoes, a glass bowl for microwave cooking and a toothpick to poke them. Cooking times will vary based on the weight of the potatoes, and the microwave temperature should be set at 700W. Starting from a minimum weight of 200 grams of potatoes, the cooking time will be 6 minutes, for 300 grams it will be 8 minutes, for 400 grams it will be 10 minutes, for 500 grams 12 minutes.
Following the weight, every additional 100 grams of potatoes means 2 more minutes of cooking in the microwave. After boiling in the microwave oven, be careful when removing the glass bowl because it will be very hot, then wait 10 minutes before peeling the microwave boiled potatoes.

Turn on the microwave oven and let them cook. Once cooking is finished, open the microwave and remove the glass bowl with oven gloves, as it will be very hot.
Let the potatoes rest for 10 minutes; during this time, they will complete cooking.3 – Let them cool slightly before removing the skin; if you want to shorten the cooling time, rinse them under cold water.
After peeling them, you can cut and use them for any culinary purpose, particularly indicated for preparing gnocchi.
