Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (ready-to-use, rectangular)
- 4.23 oz ham
- 3.53 oz scamorza cheese (sliced)
Steps
Unroll the ready-to-use puff pastry on the work surface, leaving it on its paper. Spread the slices of ham and thinly sliced scamorza cheese on top.
Starting from the widest side of the puff pastry rectangle, roll it on itself to form a compact roll.
Wrap the puff pastry paper around the roll and close it like a candy.
Let the roll rest in the freezer for 30 minutes, so it firms up a bit. This optional step will make it easier to cut perfect swirls.
With a smooth and sharp knife, cut the swirls into slices about ¾ inch thick. Place them on the baking sheet. Space them at least 1 inch apart and in the meantime preheat the oven to 356°F.
Bake them for about 15 minutes, until golden. Let them cool slightly and serve.
