The savory pie with an air fryer is also an easy and versatile recipe that you can make every day and for any occasion, to be served as an interlude, at a buffet, or as a snack. As always, all recipes with an air fryer can also be cooked in a traditional oven.
This delicious, rustic savory pie is simply made with zucchini, leek, cherry tomatoes, cooked ham, and cheese, an egg, flour, and milk. Use a baking dish suitable for your air fryer, I used a square one 8 inches x 8 inches and 2.75 inches high in my 5.5-liter Cosori with a single top element.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tbsps cornstarch (or potato starch)
- 3.4 oz milk
- 2 tbsps sunflower seed oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations (1/2 packet)
- 1 zucchini (medium size)
- 1/2 leek
- 4 cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 clove garlic
- 2 sprigs parsley (chopped)
- 1.75 oz cooked ham (diced)
- 1.75 oz cheese (to taste, diced)
- 3 tbsps grated Parmesan cheese (or Grana Padano)
- to taste olive oil
- to taste salt, pepper
Steps
Start the rustic pie by dicing the zucchini into small cubes, slicing the leek finely, and cutting the cherry tomatoes into 4. Put the vegetables in a non-stick pan with 4 tablespoons of oil, half a clove of garlic, and the chopped parsley.
Sauté them for about 10-15 minutes, adding 2 tablespoons of water, until they are soft and cooked. Add the salt, pepper, and let them cool down or chill.
In a large bowl, put the flour, milk, egg, sunflower seed oil, and mix the mixture until smooth and homogeneous. Add the instant yeast for savory preparations, diced cooked ham, cheese also diced, grated Parmesan cheese, and pour in the previously cooked vegetables. Adjust the taste with salt and pepper.
Mix all ingredients well, then pour the mixture into the previously greased and floured baking dish (or after spraying the release agent).
Preheat the air fryer to 320°F for 3 minutes, then insert the baking dish and cook the savory pie for 30 minutes always at 320°F. At the end of cooking, do the toothpick test to check the cooking, if necessary increase by 5 minutes.
Remove the savory pie from the oven and serve it hot or cold, accompanied by cold cuts or hard-boiled eggs with mayonnaise.
