Pomegranates are in full splendor at this time. Their fruits, the pomegranates, with yellow/red skin, are filled with ruby-colored seeds from which you can extract a juice with numerous beneficial properties for our body. Today I would like to propose a very simple but very healthy and delicious recipe, the apple and pomegranate smoothie that will please both adults and children. It is a refreshing drink, without added sugars, to enjoy for breakfast or as a mid-day snack.

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 2 smoothies
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Autumn, Winter
Ingredients
- 3 Apples
- 7 oz Pomegranate juice
- 1 Small banana
Preparation
We deseed the pomegranate seeds and extract the juice with a juicer or, in absence, with a potato masher.
Peel the apples, remove the core, cut into large chunks and put them in a blender. Add the banana chunks and start blending, gradually pouring the pomegranate juice through the designated liquid hole and voila, the pomegranate smoothie is ready to drink; the final consistency, more or less fluid, will depend on our taste.
