Mixed salad with mozzarella and crumbled taralli

The mixed salad with mozzarella and crumbled taralli is a unique, tasty, very rich, and succulent dish, suitable for summer. It’s a recipe to prepare also for leisure time or a dinner with friends. The mozzarella and crumbled taralli turn a simple mixed salad into a hearty dish, a real treat, perfect even as an appetizer. All the vegetables in our salad can be prepared in advance, taking care to dress them and add the crumbled taralli only before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 head Lettuce
  • 8.8 oz Mozzarella
  • 2 Carrots
  • 10 Firm cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Celery stalk
  • 1 Cucumber
  • as needed Pitted black olives
  • as needed Fennel seed tarallini
  • 1 Fresh spring onion
  • as needed Arugula
  • as needed Fine salt
  • as needed Extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

  • Wash the lettuce and arugula, tear the leaves and let them drain. Peel the carrots and cucumber and slice them very thinly. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half or into four parts, depending on size and personal taste.

    Cut the celery stalk into cubes. Pit the black olives, slice the spring onion thinly. Cube the mozzarella and place it in a colander to drain excess whey.

    In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, season with salt and extra virgin olive oil to taste, and only before serving our rich and tasty salad, add the crumbled taralli (just crumble them coarsely with your hands). Mix well and serve the mixed salad with mozzarella and crumbled taralli immediately.
