This banana and cocoa smoothie is a light drink that can be enjoyed at various times of the day. In the morning, it is perfect with a couple of slices of toast, providing the necessary proteins to start the day. In the afternoon, you can have it as a snack – tasty and filling: ideal for those with a sweet tooth.
In summer, it is an excellent refreshing and nutritious drink: just prepare it with cold ingredients from the fridge and add some ice cubes. Thanks to the addition of yogurt, it remains creamy and thick, so it not only quenches thirst but also fills the stomach.
I used soy milk and yogurt to prepare it, thus making a vegan smoothie that also has a decent amount of proteins. This way, it is also ideal for those who are lactose intolerant.
Let’s see how to make this simple recipe, and here are some other drinks for you:
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 2
- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Healthy
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup soy milk (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup soy yogurt (unsweetened)
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup (or maple syrup)
- teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- Points per serving = 1 WW point
Tools
- Hand blender
Preparation
First of all, measure all the ingredients: by eye, you always risk consuming too many points.
With a blender or a hand blender, blend the banana cut into pieces and the yogurt.
Add the milk and agave syrup and continue blending until it is well aerated.
Divide the smoothie into two glasses and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
Our banana and cocoa smoothie is ready to be enjoyed! If you want, you can drink it all, obviously counting 2 Weight Watchers points. It’s so good!
In summer, I suggest you keep all the ingredients in the fridge until a minute before making the smoothie, and if you like, you can add some ice cubes. Alternatively, you can prepare it in advance and keep it in the fridge until serving, but it won’t be as nice and fluffy as just blended.
Let me know if you liked it…
Enjoy!
