Today I’m bringing you a very indulgent yet healthy and light breakfast: granola with yogurt and chocolate sauce. It’s delicious but requires some preparation in advance so that you have the ingredients ready and can enjoy it in just 5 minutes in the morning!
Start with the homemade granola which is very simple to prepare and then the chocolate sauce, known to many as Dutch vla. You can prepare a large quantity of granola because it keeps for a long time. On the other hand, the chocolate sauce lasts up to 4 days.
Then put everything together and add some soy yogurt, blueberries, and banana, and you’ll see what a great breakfast you’ll have, no hunger until lunch: guaranteed! Let’s prepare it…

Ingredients
For the ingredients of homemade granola and chocolate sauce, follow the link.
- 1/2 cup homemade granola
- chocolate sauce (1 serving)
- 1/2 cup soy yogurt (unsweetened)
- as needed blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 banana
- Points per serving = 8 WW points
Steps
So if it’s not ready yet, prepare the homemade granola the night before and measure out 1/2 cup.
Also, prepare the chocolate sauce at least the night before, and you’ll need half a serving.
All that’s left is to add the yogurt, sliced banana, and blueberries. Our granola with yogurt and chocolate sauce is ready!
Of course, if you want to omit the chocolate sauce, you can, and this breakfast will only cost you 5 Weight Watchers points, but I suggest using it, the final taste is divine… maybe because I love chocolate!
Alternatively to the chocolate sauce, you can also use homemade peanut butter or tahini, add 1 tbsp (about 0.5 oz) for 3 points and it doesn’t change the final points.
I know you might think that 8 points is a lot for breakfast, but I assure you that eating a lot in the morning is really helpful for weight loss. And if you exercise, the best thing is always to eat more in the morning rather than ending up with a lot of points to eat at dinner: be smart!
Try this breakfast and let me know if you liked it…
Enjoy!

Storage
The granola with yogurt and chocolate sauce should be prepared on the spot, but you can obviously make both the granola and the chocolate sauce ahead of time, with the sauce lasting up to 4 days.
